It’s a cool space, my friends and I stayed in the private room which was perfect for the privacy we needed. The manager is helpful and friendly. It’s close to the military base which makes it more safe They have a kitchen to cook, there’s also drinkable water from the dispenser, the WiFi is fast.

Amazing hostel with even better staff that dedicates themesleves to providing that you have the best stay you can. A particular volunteer named Rami even went above and beyond and would male hostel dinners for everyone which was such a fun time.

Too great place! The staff is the most friendly people ever met, although the bad reviews on cleanliness, it is absolutely perfect except you are some kind of obsessed person for it

It is difficult to give less than 5 star to this place. People that end up in this hostel are special by themselves, they are either found in the situation of transiting or staying indefinetly for personal reasons. But, without the volunteers probably the place would not be the same. For the price, the company you'll get is quite unique making the place vibrant and interesting. I eneded up spending my birthday in this place and Rami made sure I had a cake to celebrate, so again, it is difficult to give less than 5 stars. Don't give up Rami on your dreams and you'll get there! Pol

Incredibly nice, welcoming and friendly hostel! I came here for a couple of days, but ended up staying more than a week! From the first moments I felt in love with Colony hostel! I met here many nice and absolutely friendly people living for a long time and I immediately felt myself like a part of a family! It's super rare and I even don't want to leave! The place is very safe and the shop is only 2 minutes away, public bus stop 4 minutes away. Every evening we had a tasty meal and shared with each other, I did too! I came here during the severe cold in Lebanon so our Lord provided us a heater. We even created our hostel friends whatsapp group to share an interesting or important information! Also I am deeply thankful to the owner - once I had small personal requests - she came right away and we solved all the issues! It's definitely the best hostel in the whole Middle East! The sense of community that reigns in this hostel makes you feel right at home. Nearby everything, you can live your life and coming back “home” having great conversations with Lord and Rumi while sipping a coffee. Rumi’s cuisine is delightful and I strongly advise anyone to try it. Highly recommend this place if you wanna meet true people

In my 30+ years of travelling this is probably my favourite hostel I've stayed in. It has the best vibe, exactly what you want from a hostel. Rami cooks dinner for everyone in the evening and it's like a big family get together. The bunks are spacious and comfortable. The location is great.

An amazingly fun hostel with everything you need. The staff are excellent, especially Rami, who also cooks a family dinner every night for you to join if you so desire. The energy and camaraderie in the place is fantastic, you will have many interesting and hilarious discussions with Rami and other guests, and the beds are extremely comfortable.

The hostel is definitely worth the price. The beds were comfortable and appropriate for the cost. However, there was sometimes no hot water, and the internet connection was quite weak. The location is excellent, close to many bars and cafés, making it a perfect place to explore the area. The staff at the hostel are extremely friendly and welcoming. A real highlight is Rami, who prepares a delicious dinner every evening for $5 per person. This brought everyone in the hostel together each night. With his special sense of humor, Rami always created a fun and entertaining atmosphere and made the evenings truly enjoyable.

Great place to stay if you want to feel like home. Location is quite good, rooms are nice and cosy and the star of the hostel is Rami, who cooks family dinners every night for travelers to enjoy and learn about Lebanese culture and cuisine! A must to do in Beirut!
